Alcatraz Island, San Francisco
Building 64 and the Dock Tower
Beside Building 64 on Alcatraz, the Dock Guard Tower stands above the boat landing, red roof against the bay.
Beside Building 64 on Alcatraz, the Dock Guard Tower stands above the boat landing — red roof, pale cabin, steel legs.
The wall of Building 64 is weathered and close in the frame. The tower sits beyond it against the bay. You get structure, history, and open water in one view.
This is the wider context for the looking-up tower frame elsewhere in the set. Same tower, different distance.
Afternoon light on the bay. The red roof is the colour accent.

Moderate telephoto to stack the wall and tower. Exposure balanced for the bright bay so the building does not blow out.
