Wings Clear of the Water
At Anacortes, a seabird leaves the water — wings open, spray at the feet, green sea behind it.
At Anacortes, a seabird leaves the water. Wings fully open, feet just clear, a little spray still hanging.
I am not naming the species past "seabird." The plumage reads like a juvenile gull, but I did not get a clean enough look to put a firm label on it, and I would rather leave it generic than guess.
The water is a strong green. That colour, plus the open wing shape, is what the frame is about.
Action pictures are often a burst and a hope. This one landed with the wings at full stretch.

Long lens, fast shutter, continuous drive. Focus on the bird as it lifted; the green water is the field, not a blur effect.
